Ysgol Bro Pedr is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone. We aim to comply with the spirit of the Equality Act, which from October 2010 replaced most of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), and to follow the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), version 2 (2008). If you have any comments about the accessibility of this site, please contact us.
Using the Tab Key
All forms on this website have a logical tab sequence. You can also use the Tab key on your keyboard to move between links on a page. A single click on Tab highlights the next link; Shift+Tab highlights the previous link.
Customising your View
For help on customising your view of this website, see the BBC’s My Web My Way and AbilityNet’s My Computer, My Way.
We have tried to make sure our pages have enough contrast, but if any colour combination causes you problems, please let us know.
Changing Text Size
Most browsers feature the ability to resize text on screen to suit your needs. You will usually find this option in the View menu. If you are using a modern browser and have a mouse with a wheel you can often change the size of the text (on PC or Mac) by holding down Ctrl on your keyboard while scrolling with the mouse wheel.
You may find that a more recent browser version offers more options for customising your view. Find the latest versions of popular browsers here:
Links and Downloads
External links will mostly open in a new window and internal links will mostly open in the same window. We have tried to make sure that link names are informative and not repeated on a page.
To view PDFs, you will need a PDF reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available free from the Adobe website. To view a Word document, use Microsoft Word, or one of the Word Viewers available free from the Microsoft site. Alternatively you can use the Open source equivalent, Open Office which is available from Apache.
