Canolfan y Bont
Mae Canolfan y Bont yn darparu addysg ar gyfer disgyblion ag ystod o anghenion addysgol, gan gynnwys anableddau dwys a lluosog, anawsterau dysgu difrifol ac awtistiaeth.
Symudwyd y Ganolfan i Ysgol Gyfun Llanbedr Pont Steffan (Ysgol Bro Pedr) ym mis Medi 1996, oherwydd cau Ysgol Breswyl Highmead, yn Llanybydder. Ariannwyd yr adeilad pwrpasol newydd gan Lywodraeth Cymru ac agorodd Canolfan y Bont yn swyddogol ym mis Ebrill 2003.
Nod y ganolfan yw darparu cwricwlwm eang a chytbwys, mewn awyrgylch gofalgar. Mae pob plentyn yn unigryw gyda'rpotensial i lwyddo. Ein nod yw creu cymuned sy’n canolbwyntio ar y plentyn sy’n galluogi pob disgybl i ddatblygu sgiliau cyfathrebu a chymdeithasol effeithiol ac i gyflawni ei botensial academaidd. Gweithredir y nodau hyn mewn amgylchedd ysgogol a strwythuredig, sy’n cynnwys cwricwlwm cytbwys a hyblyg.
Gan taw adnodd Sirol yw Canolfan y Bont rhaid i bob cais mynediad fynd trwy'r Adran Addysg.
Canolfan y Bont provides education for pupils with a range of educational needs, including severe and multiple disabilities, severe learning difficulties and autism.
The Centre was moved to Ysgol Gyfun Llanbedr Pont Steffan (Ysgol Bro Pedr) in September 1996, due to the closure of Highmead School in Llanybydder. The new purpose-built building was funded by the Welsh Government and Canolfan y Bont officially opened in April 2003.
Our centre aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum, in a caring atmosphere. Central to our philosophy is that every child is unique and special and has the potential to progress and succeed. Our aim is to create a child-centred community that empowers and enables all pupils to develop effective communication and social skills and to achieve their academic potential. These aims are implemented in a stimulating and structured environment, which includes a balanced and flexible curriculum.
As Canolfan y Bont is a Local Authority resource, all applications to the centre must be via the Local Authority.
